My Story
Hello!
This Is me! I was a small town girl, who was born with Spina bifida. So many ups and downs, so many surgeries, so many hospital visits and stays......so many challenges and obstacles, so many unknowns as I grew up! School wasn't easy, so many people who truly didn't understand me, but I never let it get me down, I went thru it all! Yup I was that girl who was bullied, because people didn't understand. I was that girl who would take twice as long to get to her next class, and people thought I was getting special treatment, nope just wanted to be on time! I was the girl who people whispered about and starred at. BUT again I kept on going and living my life.
To say my life has been easy would be a lie, 19 surgeries (and I'm sure some down the road yet) but I made it thru all of them. Recovery was tough for some, but I had my mom, who was my everything, doctor, nurse, mom, dad, motivator, supporter, and so much more.
I graduated high school, went on and got my associates degree in Early childhood Education, fulfilled my dream of working with kiddos for awhile, and boy did that make my heart happy. I wanted to show kids their worth and that they can accomplish anything they want too.
Scentsy came into mine and Jessies life in 2012( I had bought a few things before than) we had a basket party, and loved all the smell goodness we got with rewards. We thought could this be something that could make me happy and fulfilled, and be able to work this when I want and not have to be on schedule but my own. Jessie, looked at me and said why not give this a shot, it's $99....we can do this, maybe this will be your new joy and you can set your own schedule, and I said ok, let's do this!
Now here we are 11 years later and I couldn't be happier. Are we where we wanna be at in this business Not YET, BUT we won't give up. To have the freedom to set my own schedule, and be there for anything that may come up, has truly been the best. To travel to all the places we have been has been amazing. We may have not earned ALL THE TRIPS....but I truly believe we earned one of the best ones....All expense paid trip to EUROPE on Mediterranean Cruise, thru, Spain, Italy and France! It was for sure a dream come true! And I'll talk about for a lifetime! Hard work and dedication is what got us on that trip! It just gives me goosebumps still! I not only got to fullfill my dream, of seeing leaning tower of piza but got fulfill Jessies dream of going to Italy. That is what this business is about! D.R.E.A.M.S!
You may think this is just a hobby for me but it's not! I work this as a full time gig, I have goals I wanna meet each month to help pay bills and such! This is a job for me! But it's a fun one. Helping you scent your homes and make memories thru scent!
Scentsy has truly showed me the way of life, and that I can do whatever, it has showed me that their are truly people out there, that will accept me for ME!
First time I met Orville Thompson, he grabbed my hand said its so nice to meet you, we are so happy that you are apart of our family, you are amazing, you are an inspiration! I will forever hold that in my heart. ( Heidi Braucht Thompson )
